Tracey has been painting in Brisbane for over 7 years, after
abandoning a corporate career. Resting confidently on her mission
statement, which is simply “to make people smile”, she has spent her
time brightening the walls of residences and offices in Australia,
Japan, Switzerland, and more recently, New York. Her menagerie of
Quirky Animals have been snapped-up by the likes of restaurateurs and
rock stars around the world. Tracey has a loyal following, and travels
the world to meet her pet portraits and prospective clients. She
exhibits regularly around Australia and has had two successful
exhibitions in New York.
Still a glutton for painting a mad dancing turkey, she has also
embraced the feeling of strength in women and has segued into female
forms and faces. Who knows what random moment and/or character will set
her off on a new body of work?

The name “Tracey Keller” is synonymous in Australia with pet portraits and quirky animals - images of bold, bright charismatic animals and, in contrast, expressive female figures captured up close.
Something a little different....” is what you will encounter when you
enter her Teneriffe Studio or one of her exhibitions. Whether you’re
confronting a diving cow with goggles doubling as a goldfish bowl, or a
set of deep, sultry eyes in a painting layered with rich colour and
texture, the moment captured stops you in your tracks. Her love of
animals, great and small is flobulated within her work. Tracey is
famous for her pet portraits which feature quirky renditions of your
family friend, whether it’s the two or four legged variety. Tracey does
not merely paint a picture, but tells a story in each painting.
